Years ago a Haitian doctor by the name of Jacques Cruzon went on a journey to take care of his sick cousin who lived in Trinidad. Unfortunately a terrible hurricane knocked him off course and destroyed his ship, but he safely made it to another island, which he knew nothing of, with only a few injuries. After roaming the black sand beaches for what seemed like days, a man called Baldunio took Jacques to the village. The people there had skin the color of creamed coffee and spoke Portugese. These natives called themselves As Boas-Vindas. Baldunio ordered the women to take of Jacques and heal his wounds. They treated him with cordia leaves until he was well. In the weeks that followed Jacques and Baldunio becamevery close friends, they even taught each other his own language so that they could communicate. Soon the entire island was bilingual, speaking both Portugese and French. Jacques learned about the medicinal plants of the island and taught the Boas-Vindas his more modern techniques. Impressed with his knowledge they asked him to be their medicine man or feiticeiro. By the third week Jaques spent on the island, his three daughters- Aigon, Neshia, and Rinity – who still lived in Haiti began to worry about him. They had not received any word as to where he might be, so they decided to look for him themselves. Call it fate, the hand of God, or just pure luck that the girls’ compass broke and they found themselves on the same primitive island as their father. The Boas-Vindas and Jacques held a week long celebration in honor of their reunion. To this day that week is celebrated as Jour de Jolie, day of joy. For years the three girls and Jaques lived happily on the island and each girl brought something new and different to enrich the culture and lives of the Boas-Vindas. Neshia taught them about modern technology. Rinity spread Christianity to all who would hear. Aigon directed the trade of the rich resources the island had to offer. Everything was going great until on his daily walk through the jungles, a snake bit Jacques. When Neshia realized her father had not returned as promised she sent men to go look for him. Sadly it had been too long and the venom already killed Jacques. The Boas-Vindas and the three daughters mourned for days the loss of their precious Jaques Cruzon, the man who changed their lives. During those dark times the girls began to neglect their duties and the island fell apart. It was then that Baldunio decided that the island needed a structured form of government. He and the other Boas-Vindas chose Rinity, Aigon, and Neisha to rule the island as queens and elected certain men to assist them in their decisions. They named their island Terra Reginae, land of the queens, in honor of them and made a national holiday to commemorate the death of Jacques Cruzon- souvinir de l’homme, remember the man.

Pollution from Brazil does affect our fish sometimes. It is not a huge issue, but Brazil agreed to limit the water pollution. Air pollution is another environmental issue because our people and animals breathe the unclean air.

A common dish for dinner is black beans and white rice, and crusted white fish, string beans and plantains. Neshia is more high tech is tourist driven than Rinity, so there are many gourmet restaurants, and sweet shops. Regios in Neshia developed a pastry called dulcis mango, which is a mango jam, with key lime flavored whipped cream, stuffed inside a sweet, flaky roll.
The Providence Caelum: Caelum, has the largest abundance of fruit of all the islands. Many tourist come to try their coconut milk ice-cream, which is ice-cream without cholesterol, lactose, and half as much of the fat. Regios in this region, have developed my fruit flavors, such as mango, strawberry, lime, chocolate, coconut, vanilla, and cheesecake. They also have fresh fruit sherbet which can be ordered at an ice-cream shop and prepared on site for you in twenty minutes. The flavors are similar to the coconut ice-cream, although the sherbet will have large chucks of fruit.
Major National Holidays: Dies Natiuitatis: Meaning Day of Birth, Dies Natiuitatis is the day the As Boas-Vindas established the island under the rule of the four daughters of Jaques Cruzon. It was the rebirth of the Nation as the new queens established new laws. Dies Natiuitatis, starts on the second Sunday of June. There are usually gold and purple fireworks to signify the first day of this holiday. A large parade of people playing musical instruments, such as trumpets and guitars, march around along with dancers, singers, and plain towns people, throughout the week. Towns in the different regions prepare their distinctive foods, and celebrate along with the paraders the night they stay in that town. On the last day, the Queens throw a huge ball in each region, and a special champagne, called felicitatis, which they only drink on this night at 11:59PM, is given to the citizens. The city hall in each region has a ballroom similar to this designated for Dies Natiuitatis and can be rented out for other events.Traditional Dress worn by women is a purple ball gown and Traditional Dress worn by men is a tuxedo with gold accents.

Souvenir de l'homme: Jaques Cruzon was very special to the natives of the islands, he taught them about medicine, introduced the people to writing, and educated them on the latest technology. His death was a major tragedy for them. Many citizens didn't know how they were gonna survive without his guidance. This day, on the Friday before the Second Sunday, is called Remember the Man, and it is a reminder of how different the country would have been if it wasn't for Jaques Cruzon. Offices are closed on this day and families stay together to cherish the time they have with each other

Cultural Norms, Customs, and Taboos: It is normal for strangers to great each other with a warm hug and a smile. If two people are good acquaintances then they will most likely greet each other with a kiss on the cheek. These people are very hospitable, kind, and generous. They are extremely open-minded and are accepting of people different than them. Diversity is welcomed, as it adds to the mystique of the island. It is considered rude and impolite to not greet someone that you know while walking down the street. Since the goal of the economy is to be diverse, and accepting of all different cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and race, it is very inconsiderate to criticize another person's religion. To put it in terms most people would understand, it is like giving someone the middle finger.
When a boy or girl turns 18, they are officially recognized as a man or woman in society. The families throw parties celebrating their coming of age. There are many traditions such as the passing down of childhood toys to younger family members or friends. The honoree is expected to write a speech about how they have been raised into mature adults. It is only after that speech and a few ceremonies particular to that child's religion that they are considered adults and receive the rights thereof such as voting, living alone, serving in the military, running for political office etc. After the ceremonies the newly christened adults parade through the streets with family and friends and party, usually until the morning. After you coming of age you are respected much more in the community and have much more expected of you.

The five regions of Terra Reginae all have resources and skills to offer. Parliament’s job is to make sure every ounce of those skills and resources are used efficiently. Each Region is given a percentage of certain resources that they have to come up with each quarter to be exported to other countries. For instance 6% of Terra Reginae’s exports are plantains. The Providence of Aigon has to come up with 62% of that 6% because that providence has the most plantains. Within that region, there may be a lot of farmers because they have to harvest all of the required plantains. However, the people do not have to be farmers, they can do whatever job they want to, there just might be more jobs relating to plantains because they need people to plant, harvest, and package the plantains. No one region would be responsible for collecting all of one type of resource. Each region would pitch in, based on the availability of the resource in their region. For example The Providence of Neshia would be in charge of 25% of that 6% because that region has the second most plantains.

Service Jobs are most needed in the Providence of Neshia, the Providence of Caelum, and the Capital, because these are major tourist destinations. Agriculture jobs are the second most prominent, as our country relies on agricultural products as our main source of income. The providence of Aigon has the most agriculture. Lastly industry jobs are important but not as imperative as the first two. The providence of Rinity has the largest percentage of industry workers as they have, the country's fruit packaging factories, boat engineers and designers, mining, and also the country's largest ports.

Government: Terra Reginae's government is a Democratic Monarchy. Each Region has a special college where the top two girls of the senior class of each high school can attend after graduation. At these Colleges the girls learn the responsibilities of Parliament, and the Leading Princesses in depth. They learn every aspect of the government, economy, and the people, especially how it affects their region. After 10 years of being at this school, the top student at the four colleges is crowned Princess of Terra Reginae. Before they assume control of the country, the four new princesses will act almost like an intern to the princess from their region for three years. They will help make certain decisions, interact with Parliament, meet with foreign leaders, and learn to work with each other. After the Princesses have officially assumed control of the country, new members of Parliament a voted on by the people of Terra Reginae. Each town gets two representatives in Parliament. Parliament works similar to how congress works in the United States. They make up bills, and debate them, and the bills that the majority ( 75%) agrees on gets pushed to the Princesses. Three out of the four princesses have to agree on the bill to make it a law, but the disagreeing princesses have to put up a plausible argument for why they don't agree. Because having the people involved in the government is important, citizens can attend sessions of Parliament, residents have the option to receive bills in the mail, and the bills are also posted on the Country's website. When there is a great debate over different bills, many citizens will often request time with the Princesses, so they can try to convince them to pass laws.
Current Government establishment: Every department of the government has it's headquarters in the Capital Region, in the city of Regia. There are special offices in each region where the parliament representatives, judge of that region, and diplomat of that region can do work, without having to travel to the Capital.
Legal System: Terra Reginae is a mixture of Civil and Common Law.
Branches of Government: Terra Reginae has four branches of government, that are overseen by the Princesses of Terra Reginae. The First branch of government is Parliament. It is Parliament's job to create new laws. The second branch of government is the judicial branch, the Judaical branch deals with conflicts between Providences, this branch is also responsible for making sure the princesses don't pass laws that will hurt more than it will help the people. The third branch of government is foreign affairs. This branch handles our exports and imports, and also our friendships with other countries and also tries to break down conflicts that arise, using diplomacy. The last branch of government is military. This branch is in charge of managing our weapons, and coming up with military tactics.

Princesses
The first step to becoming the princess is graduating as the first two girls in the senior class of High School. They will be given the opportunity to attend The Schola Iuris of their region, which is a special college where you learn how to run the country (the professors are former princesses). After ten years of this vigorous training. The top students in each region will go to the capital and rule under the princesses as interns for a year. After the year is up, the new princesses will have the option of being Carinated into their new position. Surprisingly, many choose not to assume the throne, but the princess who does takes the position of the princess who represents the same region as them.

Parliament
Parliament members are voted on by the citizens of each town. Each town gets two representatives, one male, one female. The elected members, attend a session of Parliament twice a month. The write laws, which are sent to the princesses for approval. As of now there are 46 members of Parliament. The Parliament officials are kept in office until the citizens vote them out. Citizens can vote members out at any time. .

Supreme Judges
There are four Supreme Judges each who come from the Four Regions. The Judge is voted on by the people of the region he/she is representing. The Supreme Judge of a Providence can appoint five other judges to handle everyday issues, such as the punishment of a criminal. The Supreme Judges of the Providence handle court cases that seek additional help in coming to a verdict, and they also serve together as the Supreme Judges of Terra Reginae. They together can decide whether what the princesses are doing are helpful to the country or if a princesses disagrees with the establishment of a law, they decide whether her arguments are reasonable.

National Diplomats
The National Diplomats are the people who deal with our foreign affairs. If a sudden problem comes up, one of them sees that it gets solved through Diplomacy. There are eight diplomats, two from each region, one is selected by the princess of the same region, while the other is voted on by the citizens of that region. They also handle exports and imports, an assign the different regions a quota they have to reach each month based on the availability of the export in their region.

The National Generals are in charge of everything military in Terra Reginae. They creates new Military tactics, come up with requirements and practice drills for solders and manage the budget for equipment, food, and other materials. The National Generals are voted on by the people from the region from which they come from. No military attack or aid is given to another country without the consent of the princesses.

Executive: The princesses are the head of the executive branch. They make the final decision on things that affect the nation, including whether or not we go to war, whether or not a bill becomes a law, and whether or not we do trade with certain Countries.The Cabinet Consist of twelve people including the four Princesses. The other eight people are people chosen by the Princesses. The Princesses get to chose two people each from their region. It is often someone they know, who has attended law school, become an accountant, or a professor from the high school. If something were to happen to one of the princesses, the eldest person from the two that they chose assumes the throne until the next princess that graduates from the Scholas Iuris can take over.
Political Parties: There are no political parties, everything is done in the best interests of the people, if law makers do something unfavorable, the citizens can assemble immediately and remove them from office.
Legislative: Parliament serves as the legislative body because they make laws. The four princesses are in the same building. Including the princesses, there are 46 members of Parliament. When going to court you can choose your own lawyer and are always given the benefit of the doubt. Not only does the Sub- Judge make a ruling, there is a jury to add input as well. Anyone who has gone through their coming of age can be a part of the jury. You sign up around the time of elections and may be called at any point during a one year time period. Because you get paid for participating, many people try to get on that list, especially those with low income jobs. No one court is more powerful than the other, each region's court system follows the same rules. If one region cannot reach a majority decision, or if a case involves people from more than one region,the case will move to the national court, where all four Supreme Judges will make a verdict, similar to the Supreme Court in the United States. During these times a jury is not present and the four Supreme Judges have to work together to reach a verdict. While the regional court systems are very efficient, this combined court can take up to a month to work on a case. Supreme Judges have other responsibilities and may not agree with each other; consequently, cases only go to the combined court when absolutely necessary.

Each Region is given a percentage of certain resources that they have to come up with each quarter to be exported to other countries. For instance 6% of Terra Reginae’s exports are plantains. The Providence of Aigon has to come up with 62% of that 6% because that providence has the most plantains. Within that region, there may be a lot of farmers because they have to harvest all of the required plantains. However, the people do not have to be farmers, they can do whatever job they want to, there just might be more jobs relating to plantains because they need people to plant, harvest, and package the plantains. No one region would be responsible for collecting all of one type of resource. Each region would pitch in, based on the availability of the resource in their region. For example The Providence of Neshia would be in charge of 25% of that 6% because that region has the second most plantains.

Exports: Terra Reginae is a lush island, filled with a cornacopia of fruits, vegetables, precious metals and other natrual resources. The country exports many things, but the exports that account for the majority of Terra Reginae's Income are in the following chart:
Industries: Terra Reginae has few industries, and most of them are centered in The Providence of Rinity. Our industries are Mining, Manufacturing and Packaging, Agriculture, Engineering, and Medical Research.
Labor Force: The labor force of Terra Reginae is 45% service, 36% agricultural, and 19% industrial. Service Jobs are most needed in the Providence of Neshia, the Providence of Caelum, and the Capital, because these are major tourist destinations. Agriculture jobs are the second most prominent, as our country relies on agricultural products as our main source of income. The providence of Aigon has the most agriculture. Lastly industry jobs are important but not as imperative as the first two. The providence of Rinity has the largest percentage of industry workers as they have, the country's fruit packaging factories, boat engineers and designers, mining, and also the country's largest ports.

Government: Terra Reginae's government is a Democratic Monarchy. Each Region has a special college where the top two girls of the senior class of each high school can attend after graduation. At these Colleges the girls learn the responsibilities of Parliament, and the Leading Princesses in depth. They learn every aspect of the government, economy, and the people, especially how it affects their region. After 10 years of being at this school, the top student at the four colleges is crowned Princess of Terra Reginae. Before they assume control of the country, the four new princesses will act almost like an intern to the princess from their region for three years. They will help make certain decisions, interact with Parliament, meet with foreign leaders, and learn to work with each other. After the Princesses have officially assumed control of the country, new members of Parliament a voted on by the people of Terra Reginae. Each town gets two representatives in Parliament. Parliament works similar to how congress works in the United States. They make up bills, and debate them, and the bills that the majority ( 75%) agrees on gets pushed to the Princesses. Three out of the four princesses have to agree on the bill to make it a law, but the disagreeing princesses have to put up a plausible argument for why they don't agree. Because having the people involved in the government is important, citizens can attend sessions of Parliament, residents have the option to receive bills in the mail, and the bills are also posted on the Country's website. When there is a great debate over different bills, many citizens will often request time with the Princesses, so they can try to convince them to pass laws.

Current Government establishment: Every department of the government has it's headquarters in the Capital Region, in the city of Regia. There are special offices in each region where the parliament representatives, judge of that region, and diplomat of that region can do work, without having to travel to the Capital.
Legal System: Terra Reginae is a mixture of Civil and Common Law.
Branches of Government: Terra Reginae has four branches of government, that are overseen by the Princesses of Terra Reginae. The First branch of government is Parliament. It is Parliament's job to create new laws. The second branch of government is the judicial branch, the Judaical branch deals with conflicts between Providences, this branch is also responsible for making sure the princesses don't pass laws that will hurt more than it will help the people. The third branch of government is foreign affairs. This branch handles our exports and imports, and also our friendships with other countries and also tries to break down conflicts that arise, using diplomacy. The last branch of government is military. This branch is in charge of managing our weapons, and coming up with military tactics.

Executive: The princesses are the head of the executive branch. They make the final decision on things that affect the nation, including whether or not we go to war, whether or not a bill becomes a law, and whether or not we do trade with certain Countries.The Cabinet Consist of twelve people including the four Princesses. The other eight people are people chosen by the Princesses. The Princesses get to chose two people each from their region. It is often someone they know, who has attended law school, become an accountant, or a professor from the high school. If something were to happen to one of the princesses, the eldest person from the two that they chose assumes the throne until the next princess that graduates from the Scholas Iuris can take over.
Political Parties: There are no political parties, everything is done in the best interests of the people, if law makers do something unfavorable, the citizens can assemble immediately and remove them from office.
Legislative: Parliament serves as the legislative body because they make laws. The four princesses are in the same building. Including the princesses, there are 46 members of Parliament. Three out of the four princesses have to agree on a bill for it to pass. The people are always involved in the making of the bills. They can debate on the bills on the country's website. Popular Sovereignty plays a key role in Terra Reginae's government. Political parties do not exist in Terra Reginae because political parties cause too much controversy.
Judicial: Each region in Terra Reginae has it's own court system, where the Judges, call Sub-Judges are appointed by the Supreme Judges of that providence. When going to court you can choose your own lawyer and are always given the benefit of the doubt. Not only does the Sub- Judge make a ruling, there is a jury to add input as well. Anyone who has gone through their coming of age can be a part of the jury. You sign up around the time of elections and may be called at any point during a one year time period. Because you get paid for participating, many people try to get on that list, especially those with low income jobs.
No one court is more powerful than the other, each region's court system follows the same rules. If one region cannot reach a majority decision, or if a case involves people from more than one region,the case will move to the national court, where all four Supreme Judges will make a verdict, similar to the Supreme Court in the United States. During these times a jury is not present and the four Supreme Judges have to work together to reach a verdict. While the regional court systems are very efficient, this combined court can take up to a month to work on a case. Supreme Judges have other responsibilities and may not agree with each other; consequently, cases only go to the combined court when absolutely necessary.
